Hello!
Welcome back to the Hillary Pair Photography Blog.
I am continuing my series on PRODUCT SPOTLIGHTS. In this series I am going into detail about the products I offer with my portrait sessions. If you haven't seen my previous posts on framed wall art prints or canvas prints check them out. They are great products to decorate your home and also show off the ones you love.
Did you know when parents proudly display their child's portrait in their home it builds the child's confidence? Just another great reason to print and display your portraits and not let them sit on computer, in the cloud somewhere, or on a thumb drive.
If you can't tell I believe printing your portraits is very important.
Today I want to introduce you to my gift prints. Gift prints are prints my clients usually buy for family or friends. They are any print smaller than an 8x10. That includes the well-know 5x7 and 4x6 and custom sizes. Sometimes a portrait just doesn't fit right on the usual sizes.
My gift prints are mounted on a styrene board. You can choose between black or white. Black is my favorite. The styrene board helps to keep the print from warping.
Below you can see the depth of the board with a print mounted on it.
The styrene board mounted on the print will allow you to display your portraits in different ways. You can use an easel (like below) or you can put it in a frame. I have even mounted them straight to the wall. One client of mine mounted them to the wall in a big collage.
The prints also have many options as far as the paper and finishes. My usual paper is a lustre. It doesn't have too much shine and has a great texture to it.
Gift prints are great for family and friends to have a portrait from your session. Typically, clients order larger wall art pieces for themselves. Sometimes I get a clients who just can't choose between the portraits, and they use gift prints to create a collage on their wall.
What is your favorite portrait product?
Have you grown up buying the typical 8x10, 5x7, or 4x6? Let me show you how you can decorate your home with something a little more awesome.
